Big news coming out of adidas today, as the three stripe brand unveiled its lightest soccer cleat ever. The adizero F50 crazy light is comes in a 4.7 ounces, which is 20 percent lighter than its previous model.

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale will give the cleats their on-field debut during Los Blancos UEFA Champions Leg bout on Tuesday.

“I’ve tried them out already in training and they feel great,” said Bale. “I can’t wait to wear them on field. Lightweight boots definitely give me an advantage over the competition and I feel faster and more agile the lighter the boots become. Hopefully I can score a few goals in them over the next few weeks.”

The drastic reduction in weight is thanks to a new next-generation lightweight skin engineered by the adidas Innovation Team. In addition to the new skin, the SPEEDTRAXION stuff configuration has been remodeled in order to increase traction and decrease weight. The base of the outsole features SPRINTFRAME construction, which offers players a perfectly balanced cleat.

adizero F50 crazylight is available April 1 at adidas sport performance stores, www.adidas.com and www.soccer.com.
