Lionel Messi may have his own hometown cleats, but now Cristiano Ronaldo has his own hometown statue.
Fresh off of Real Madrid's FIFA Club World Cup championship, the Portuguese island of Madeira built a statue of its favorite native son Cristiano Ronaldo. Rendered in great detail, the statue was modeled after Ronaldo's stance on free kicks. If they really wanted to be super-detailed, though, the artist could have included Nike Swooshes on Ronaldo's Mercurial Super Fly CR7 boots. Alas, any sign of the Swoosh was left out, which may or may not be a good thing depending on who you talk too.
