With the help of future stars Raphaël Varane, Blaise Matuidi, Paul Pogba, Yohan Cabaye and Mamadou Sakho, Nike debuted the away kit for the 2014 French National Team.
The perennial powerhouse will try to take home the 2014 World Cup this summer in Brazil in a specially designed away kit from Nike that combines their inherent style with top of the line innovation. The kit features a rather subtle grey tonal mariner stripe design with an updated crest, inspired by the classic cockerel worn by the French team in 1958. Unlike year’s past the crest is removed from it’s badge and was enlarged to stand out and display national pride.
Same with other kit’s, Nike felt every piece of tech was needed to give athletes the best performance apparel available. Nike Dri-Fit was added to manage sweat and keep players more comfortable and keeps their bodies cooler. Nike also added the perfect fit system for natural movement and the Nike Pro baselayer to combat unpredictable weather this summer in Brazil.
The French won the World Cup back in 2008 and Nike outfitted them with top of the line equipment as they look to grab the title again this summer.
The 2014 French National team away kit is available for pre-order on Nike.com beginning March 4, and goes on sale in stores April 3.
