The NFL Thursday Night Football matchup featured the Miami Dolphins taking on the Cincinnati Bengals. The game was a struggle offensively, but was close throughout. The Dolphins took the game to Overtime on a field goal and ended up winning the game after defensive end Cameron Wake sacked Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton for a safety.

There were two games on the NBA schedule. The Chicago Bulls defeated the New York Knicks 82-81. Star Derrick Rose struggled, but came through when it mattered scoring the game-winning bucket with five seconds left in the contest. The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors dueled with the two starting point guards Stephen Curry and Chris Paul scoring for a combined 80 points between them. The contest was high scoring and was pure entertainment as the Clippers went on to win 126-115. These are The Shoes That Won Last Night.

The Chicago Bulls have a great defensive team and great defensive scheme. The Bulls defense on the perimeter is headed by Luol Deng and Deng had a great all-around game. Player: DeAndre Jordan
Game: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors

Doc Rivers is expecting a lot from his Clippers team and one player he has put pressure on is DeAndre Jordan. Rivers thinks Jordan can be Defensive Player of the Year and impact the Clippers title hopes greatly. Jordan has lived up to those expectations early this season. In the Clippers' win over the Golden State Warriors Jordan was a beast with 9 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 steals. All Jordan needs to do to help the Clippers is rebound, block shots and defend. Scoring is just icing on the cake.

Game: Chicago Bulls vs. New York Knicks

The Chicago Bulls are expected to compete for a championship and Joakim Noah will always be at the center of what the team is doing on the court. Noah was up to his old tricks last night with some effective defense and rebounding in the Bulls' 82-81 victory over the New York Knicks. Noah had an impressive stat line of 6 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists in Chicago's victory. He might not look the best doing what he does, but Noah is sure to make the right play at the right time to help his team get a victory.

Game: Houston Dynamo vs. Montreal Impact

It's playoff time in the MLS and it's where the stars shine even brighter. Will Bruin's star was definitely outshining every other player on the field as he scored two goals for the Houston Dynamo in their 3-0 win against the Montreal Impact. In the 16th minute, Bruin received a backheel pass from Ricardo Clark and found a crevice just inside the box and scored his fifth career playoff goal. Bruin scored four goals in Houston's run to the MLS Cup final last year and got off to the right start for these playoffs. Can he continue his clutch success? We'll see when the Dynamo face New York in the Semifinals.

Shoe: Air Jordan Super.Fly 2
Player: Blake Griffin
Game: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors

Blake Griffin has received a ton of negative criticism for his failure to show up in crucial moments for his team. Griffin stepped up in a big way in the Clippers' 126-115 victory over the Golden State Warrior. Griffin had 23 points and 10 rebounds in the win, but the key was him putting himself in better spots to succeed. The Clippers power forward caught the ball in a deep position where he was very close to the rim. he also happened to catch a few alley-oops in the third quarter as well making quick work of the Warriors in the Air Jordan Super.Fly 2.

Player: Stephen Curry
Game: Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers

We don't highlight a ton of losing players, but we have to show some love to Steph Curry. The Warriors point guard exploded for 38 points in the Golden State loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. Curry had 9 assists as well in the game. He hit an astounding 9 three-pointers in the game and they weren't easy corner threes. They were three's way beyond the arc that seemed rather easy. Curry makes difficult shots look like dunks which is pretty amazing. He had a four-point play in the fourth quarter that was absolutely spectacular to watch. Expect Curry to make his first All-Star team this season while wearing the Under Armour Micro G Anatomix Spawn.

Player: Chris Paul
Game: Los Angeles Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors

Chris Paul had a pretty special game in his Air Jordan CP3.VII's. Paul scored 42 points, but was well rounded with 15 assists and 6 steals in the Clipper victory. Paul was slicing and dicing the Warriors defense. He got into the paint and made several midrange jumpers, and he also was able to penetrate and find open shooters like J.J. Redick and Jamal Crawford as well as big men Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan under the rim. This is Chris Paul's world and we all just live in it.

Shoe: adidas D Rose 4
Player: Derrick Rose
Game: Chicago Bulls vs. New York Knicks

If you look at Derrick Rose's stat line from last night, it was not overly impressive. Rose shot just 7-for-23 and had 4 turnovers but at the end of the day the win matters more. Rose pushed the Bulls to a 1-1 record with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in the Chicago victory over the New York Knicks. Rose more importantly hit the game-winner with five seconds left that gave the Bulls an 82-81 victory before a Carmelo Anthony miss at the buzzer. Expect Rose to be a little rough around the edges at the beginning, but once he gets used to the speed of the NBA game, expect him to take off.
